Students interested in HOH are encouraged to attend the information session. Dr. Courtney Thomas and recent HOH students will be present to discuss and answer questions about program.

Study, Work, and Live in the D.C. area for the Spring 2025 Semester
The Virginia Tech Hokies on the Hill (HOH) Undergraduate Internship Program provides students with the opportunity to work on Capitol Hill, learn firsthand about the U. S. Congress and politics, and gain real-world experience in the nation's capital -- all while earning credit for a full-time course load. Students intern in congressional offices in both the United States Senate and the House of Representatives, as well as in government relations offices of private companies.
The next Hokies on the Hill internship class will commence Spring Semester 2025. There are limited slots available. Application forms will be due to the Office of Government & Community Relations via Handshake. An HOH application can be found in the sidebar of all HOH pages. Applications will be accepted at a time to be determined early this fall. A HOH information session will take place in the fall prior to applications being due. Students interested in HOH are encouraged to attend the information session.

Congressman Rob Wittman (R-VA-1) (VT ’81) meets with students in the Hokies on the Hill program. Congressman Wittman is in his 7th term and serves on the Armed Services and Natural Resources committees in the U.S. House of Representatives. Congressman Wittman (VT ’81) was a member of the Corps of Cadets and Army ROTC and studied biology.
