Virginia Tech offers more than 45 graduate degree and certificate programs, in the greater Washington, D.C., metro area, taught by internationally recognized faculty. The university's teaching locations, in Old Town Alexandria, the Virginia Tech Research Center - Arlington, and Academic Building One, are all easily accessible by Metro.
Virginia residents may also take classes as Commonwealth Campus students without being formally admitted to a degree program.
