Virginia Tech's Graduate School in the greater Washington, D.C., metro area provides a variety of services that contribute to the professional and personal development of our graduate students in programs located in the D.C. area. We assist students from the admissions phase to graduation by assisting with all academic progress needs. We also support the graduate student community through a variety of events and programs designed to meet the needs of our unique student population.

Transcripts and Student Information

Virginia Tech requires your official transcript to be sent to the Graduate School for record updating. The copy of your transcript uploaded in your admissions application is not deemed as official for your student record with Virginia Tech. Failure to submit your official transcript will result in a hold placed on your student account.

The Graduate School will ONLY accept official sealed copies of the transcript

Below are multiple ways to submit your official transcript to the Graduate School:

  1. The university can email the electronic official transcript directly toDCgradschool@vt.edu
  2. The university can mail the official transcript directly to the Graduate School to the address below:

  3. Drop off your sealed official transcript “in person” to the Hokie One Stop in Academic Building One

    Once your official transcript has been received by the Graduate School, your record will be updated accordingly.

  • The Graduate Student Services Office does not release information regarding student attendance, degree, or transcripts.
